Jody Wassmer Leaving Greater Owensboro Chamber
The man who lead the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce to a Chamber of the Year award as well as membership growth to over 1,000 will be saying goodbye.
It was announced early today that Jody Wassmer has resigned as the CEO and President of the Chamber. Board Chair Shirley Cecil issued the following Statement:
The Board of Directors of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has accepted the resignation of Jody Wassmer, its President and CEO. Jody has certainly provided the leadership to help the Chamber achieve much during recent years, not the least of which is growing the membership to more than 1,000 and being named the 2010 Chamber of the Year. With more than $100 million of investment in Owensboro over the next few years, the Chamber is well positioned to be a strong voice and advocate for business within our community. We are committed to provide
exceptional services, advocacy and leadership to our members.
The Chamber anticipates naming a search committee with the goal of
providing some strong candidates to help lead your Chamber during these
exciting times.
