English Park

A replica of the Columbus ship the Pinta will be docked in Owensboro through July 16th.

Replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships the Nina and the Pinta will be docked at English Park beginning this Friday and they will remain in town for visitors until Sunday, August 12th.

When I was younger I lived near English Park for one summer.  We loved riding our bikes to the park and playing games in the giant picnic shelter!  No one I talk to remembers it being there but me!

It's almost here! The Owensboro Air Show is this Saturday at 1pm downtown over the Ohio River. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to English Park or Smothers Park to catch all the amazing aerobatics. The Country Station! 92.5 WBKR will be live on location with Barb Birgy's show beginning at 10am. And don't forget, a few of performers and their planes will be putting on a mini-show at the Owensbor

The skies above Smothers Park, English Park, and the Ohio River will roar again as the Owensboro Air Show returns September 20-21. And this year, not only will you be able to see all the exciting aerobatics, you will be able to hear it as well.

It may be close to Halloween but Monsters on the Ohio has nothing to do with ghosts and goblins. The monsters this weekend are monster catfish. Catfish that can weigh in at over 100 lbs. The come out of our Ohio River. Does that make you think twice about swimming or waterskiing?
