Daviess County Public Schools have been selected as a $25,000 winner in the Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Rural EducationSM.
That is a program that gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to apply for a grant, that is based on merit, to enhance math and science education
On Thursday, December 13, the Eagle Family Performers of Apollo High School are presenting “A Christmas Wizard of Oz”. The play features these characters and the actros who will portray them: Dorothy (Bree Sapp) and Toto (Tyler Lamar), are carried by a snow blizzard to the Magical Elfinsland, where they meet Glinda, the Good Witch of the North (Arielle Jones).
Tamarack Elementary School at 1733 Tamarack Road is continuing a favorite holiday tradition with an annual school-wide sing-along at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18. Students and staff members are invited to wear their coziest pajamas on the last day of school before the Christmas break. Everyone will gather in the gymnasium to sing Christmas carols and favorite seasonal songs for 30-45 minutes.
