Unless you know what to look for you may never notice the small cemetary at 5th and Triplett Streets behind Bowen Tire. A flag and monument is all that marks one of the most interesting sights in the area. It is the old Owensboro Cemetery, now called Moseley Square Cemetery. It is the final resting place for several Revolutionary War Hero's who settled in Daviess County during and immediately after the war.
A Memorial Service sponsored by the Lt. Robert Moseley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution was held for the third year in a row Thursday night.
