GRADD is partnering with Audubon Area Community Services, the Committee of Concerned Caregivers, and Owensboro Medical Health System Golden Partners to present Senior Celebration 2011.

This entertaining and educational event will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at the Owensboro Christian Church Community Center (2818 New Hartford Road, Owensboro).

Nationally recognized humorist Dr. Jeanne Robertson will be the keynote speaker. Robertson, who was Miss North Carolina in 1963, claims to speak “two languages fluently: English and Southern.” She has produced six DVDs and written three books on humor.

Henderson mental health therapist and author Dr. Phyllis McElwain and McLean County personal trainer/fitness instructor and author Theresa Rowe will also speak at the event. McElwain will discuss the vital link between spirituality and wellness; and Rowe will share lessons learned through her inspirational life story, chronicled in her book Shaped by Faith.
