OPD Take 4 More Off Streets in Suspected Drug Busts

If anyone doubts the Crime Stopper Program works, read the following.

These two reports are from OPD. The  Street Crimes Unit continues to work to not only get drugs off the street but to insure they have enough evidence to put the bad boys and girls away for a long time. In one case listed here, a young child was involved. While nobody wants to see a child taken from a parent, if convicted on the charges, the parent had no business having the child with them. There are times when Social Services MUST step in.

On June 13, 2012 at approximately 7:48 p.m., members of the Owensboro Police Department Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle at W. 7th Street and Moreland Street.

The vehicle was occupied by Samantha Finley, Gary Grace, and a small child of one of the occupants.

Detectives located numerous items inside the vehicle consistent with the manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

Social Services was contacted in reference to the child.
