Oh here's a survey I'm totally all about. A recent study found West Virginia is the worst state at its residents getting a sufficient night's sleep. At number 49, Kentucky. What is keeping me, I mean us, awake?

First let me point out, this study from the CDC is from 2008. I can attest my sleeping habits haven't improved in six years. I'm thinking since Kentucky and West Virginia are right next to each other, maybe the coal mining industry has something to do with it? But then all states, well the world, all have late shifts.

My main problem, I think too much as I'm trying to fall asleep, plus, I like to have noise or I set the timer on my TV. Or, I'll lay there with my eyes open, and I'll think of something I need to do or make a note about it. I also know the later I go to bed, and if I have to wake up early, forget about it. Oh, and unless I truly fall asleep, I'll check my phone periodically throughout the night which is a terrible habit.

The state that gets the best, most sufficient sleep? Oregon. I guess fresh air and organic foods do the trick.
