Halloween is creeping closer and closer and I noticed my Mom had only decorated sparsely around the house. Outside is covered with various pumpkins and scarecrows. She told me she would let my niece Zoey help put the indoor decorations up this weekend. So let's see what we have.

First, I call this a "Witch-mallow"; Mom has other I think Christmas decorations of this non-edible variety.

I love this Winnie the Pooh one. He has a piece of candy attached to his behind and if you pull it, he glides a little bit. It's a big hit with the kids. Those are some just some pumpkins in the back.

Mom claims this witch is one of the older decorations she has. I'm not convinced. One, it's not creepy enough, and two, it looks practically brand new. She said she got it a shop in Muhlenberg Co.

And finally, I asked Mom what was the oldest one she had and she pulled out these two little candles. Though she couldn't tell me when she got them, I can definitely tell they are a little weathered, but I don't think she's ever used them as candles.

It should be noted when Mom started handing Zoey these decorations, instead of finding somewhere to place them, she turned around and put them in the tater box by the stove. Kids. Happy Halloween week!
