If you have been thinking of rescuing a dog or a cat, NOW is the time to do it.  I just got an email this morning from Alexandra Faught Bivins, who volunteers with local pet rescue and adoption.  Alexandra's email was urgent.  The Daviess County Animal Shelter is critically full.  The shelter is in a CODE RED situation and is completely out of room.  And they need YOUR help now.

From Alexandra:

The DAVIESS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER in Owensboro, KY is completely full and will be forced to euthanize as early as TODAY.
The shelter is CODE RED and is completely OUT OF ROOM! Large dogs and even the smaller ones are have reached capacity. The large dogs are in DANGER!! If you can open your home to a large dog to foster until it gets a home or goes to rescue, you would be saving a life.
