We're all pretty excited about Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' especially after the closing credits tag at the end of 'Thor: The Dark World,' featuring Benicio Del Toro's mysterious Collector character -- but the character we're most intrigued about is, of course, Rocket Raccoon. The hero is being voiced by Bradley Cooper, and while we've gotten a peek at what he'll look like in the film, we still have no idea what he'll sound like. But now we're getting some hints as Cooper himself recently opened up about voicing the character.

Although Cooper was cast as Rocket Raccoon back in August, the actor has kept his lips sealed about the project ... until now. In an interview with Collider, Cooper opened up about his familiarity (or lack thereof) with the comics, how much he's come to love the character, and the approaches they've been trying out with the furry hero's voice:

I wasn't familiar with the comic at all and then I really loved it, and I love that character. He's incredible that character. You know, one thing we debated was … he’s seen as a cockney accent sometimes, so we talked about whether we’d do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit.

It seems like they still haven't entirely decided on the direction they're taking with Rocket Raccoon's voice, and it's definitely a tricky one to nail -- this is one character that's going to have to be executed perfectly.

Cooper stars in the film alongside Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou, Glenn Close, and John C. Reilly. 'Guardians of the Galaxy' hits theaters on August 1, 2014.
