George Stephanopoulos Takes Michele Bachmann to Task for Founding Fathers Comment

George Stephanopoulos took Michele Bachmann to task on Tuesday’s ‘Good Morning America,’ grilling the Republican presidential candidate over her assertion that the founding fathers worked to end slavery.
Stephanopoulos argued that Bachmann’s comment is incorrect, pointing out that many of the founding fathers, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson included, held slaves.
At first, Bachmann sidestepped, offering a vague reply about the freedoms provided by the Constitution. But, Stephanopoulos pressed the issue.
Eventually, Bachmann cited John Quincy Adams and his work to end slavery. Problem is, Stephanopoulos pointed out, Adams generally isn’t viewed as a founding father. Further, he was a child during the Revolutionary War. Watch to see what Bachmann says next.
