A contributor for dailymail.co.uk must be an awfully big fan of bridge demolitions. He posted a feature story on the British news website about such an operation in Kentucky.

The Old Ledbetter Bridge in McCracken County has partially collapsed back in June, so a few days ago, a demolition crew finished the job.

I've seen the old bridge but never crossed it because it looked like, well, like it was going to collapse.

I love old structures like this, bridges in particular because of how unique they are. I'd have to think but I don't recall ever seeing two exactly alike.

And then there's the history.

And then, over time, there's the need to bring it all down.

And somebody in England was paying close attention.
