DCPS, OPS to Host Joint Baccalaureate

Members of the graduating class of 2012 from Apollo, Daviess County and Owensboro high schools will gather for a combined Senior Baccalaureate Service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Bellevue Baptist Church, 4950 Kentucky 56. 

Dale Poole, educator, FCA Huddle Coach and boys’ soccer coach with Owensboro Public Schools, will share a message of inspiration and challenge with the students and their families. The service is open to the public and everyone is welcome. 

Orchestras from the three local high schools will provide music for this event. Senior members from the DCHS Concert Choir will perform, “I Am His Child.” OHS senior Evan Miller will perform “Amazing Grace” on piano. Selected FCA seniors will participate in other roles during the service.

The service is sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
