Tin Man Brewing Company to Get Congress Drunk on Indiana Beer

The Tin Man is running for Congress.

According to a press release, Tin Man Brewing Co. has been selected to take their robotic brews to Washington D.C. to be featured in this year’s Celebration of American Craft Beer event hosted by the Brewers Association. Only fifteen breweries across the nation were chosen to participate in this event on May 15.

Beauty queens are like fine wines, but very few actually open wineries.

However, that is not stopping Miss Indiana, Emily Hart and her fiancé  Eric Harris from taking their hobby to the next level by opening up Two EE’s Winery. The couple says that the wine has been bottled, the labels have been given the thumbs-up, and the tasting room is finished. In fact, the only detail the two are waiting to wrap up before opening for business is getting the labels printed and slapped on the bottles.

Rummage Sale To Benefit Lydia Haycraft

Lydia is the seven year old daughter of Paul (and Ashley) Haycraft and Tiffany (and Chris) Somner.  This is Lydia's second round battling Ewing's Sarcoma. After completing treatments, she was considered "cancer free" in December 2012, then her first quarterly scan in March 2013 showed two golf ball size tumors in her lungs and a bone marrow biopsy revealed cancerous cells in her bone marrow as well. She is currently undergoing chemo and then will have a stem cell transplant.

There will be a rummage sale to help the family with medical bills June 21st (6:00pm - 9:00pm) and 22nd (8:00am - 2:00pm). The sale will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Owensboro.

Authorities in Louisville, Kentucky say that over the weekend they arrested 50-year-old Jeffery Wagner for partaking in a carpet lint buffet in the shoe department of the Burlington Coat Factory.
