Jaclyn Graves

Jaclyn Graves was born in Jackson, TN, but grew up Milan, TN and Mayfield, KY. Go Cardinals! Jaclyn is a true performing artist. She started singing in public at the age of six at the First Baptist Church in Milan. She auditioned and beat out all the nine and ten-year-olds. Her mother, Janet said, “I didn’t even know she liked to sing!” Jaclyn’s first professional appearances were weddings, a job she still performs frequently and also performs with her band at various local clubs and events. She has opened for such artists as Eric Church, Gary Allan, Kellie Pickler, Rodney Atkins, Montgomery Gentry and more. When Jaclyn was in high school, she traveled to Paris, France, with a vocal group led by Bob Westbrook of Memphis that is famous for being the vocal teacher for Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Britney Spears – just to name a few. While there, she performed in Latin at Notre Dame Cathedral. Later in the trip, the group performed modern music in English at Euro Disney. Jaclyn attended Western Kentucky University, majoring in criminology and sociology where she was also a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Jaclyn went on to work with the WKU men’s basketball team for 3 ½ years which was her favorite job ever – well besides being a DJ on WBKR. She is a big sports fan, so she loved it! Hilltopper for life! When Jaclyn started at WBKR, she had no previous broadcast experienced. She met Chad when she entered a local talent contest. She came to WBKR after being offered a guest deejay appearance; she went over so well, she was invited to joining the morning team. Jaclyn left when her daughter Carsyn was born and returned in January 2011 to the midday show. Jaclyn loves singer Luke Bryan and pro quarterback Aaron Rogers. “ Hmmm-hmm…” That’s what she says when she hears their names… Jaclyn says, “The best thing about working at WBKR is it is so much fun! I love the music and a chance to be a part of the community. But if I could be doing anything else it would be a country music singer, with a record deal, hit-songs and touring. It makes me a little jealous to play all of these artists who are doing what I want to do!”

After completing treatments, she was considered "cancer free" in December 2012, then her first quarterly scan in March 2013 showed two golf ball size tumors in her lungs and a bone marrow biopsy revealed cancerous cells in her bone marrow as well. She is currently undergoing chemo and then will have a stem cell transplant.

[PHOTOS] Of The Home Being Moved In Daviess County

What did you do tonight? Me?? I grabbed a cold, adult beverage, picked up the puppy and headed out in the back yard to watch a gorgeous, massive house being moved! Welcome to the country baby!

Ok, so maybe I went outside to avoid being scared when the power was turned off (which, the power never went off), but, I was still outside to catch some pics! They actually broke the house down into three pieces to transport it.

I can only imagine how much it cost just in energy and cable crews and law enforcement and transportation to move the sucker, but, it was pretty cool to watch!

Check out my pics! (I warn you, my phone is old and the pics are blurry, but you still get the idea, ha!)

Chad And Jaclyn Run The Mud Run Course: Part 1 [VIDEO]

The Owensboro Mud Run is THIS Saturday at Diamond Lake Resort. This event is going to be awesome! Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and you can still register.

Chad is always coming up with crazy ideas that I basically have no say-so in and running this course beforehand is his latest! We went out to Diamond Lake Tuesday afternoon and actually ran the entire course! (I'm still sore, I have blisters and my left leg is jacked up!) Although all of the course wasn't constructed yet, we scaled a 6 foot wall (well, I basically face-planted), we crossed grown-man monkey bars, attempted the cargo net and Chad even got in the water for those three obstacles. Watch and be prepared to laugh!
