Back in the day the Mustang was brought out and named the 1964 1/2 by it's fans due to an early release date. It had a 4.7L v8 power plant, powering the rear wheels, it was a 60's muscle car.  Quickly becoming a movie star as well as it was featured in James Bond Goldfinger in 1964. You could pick a fully loaded Mustang with it's glorious v8 for less than 2,400 bucks!!! Now-a-days, you get a little more bang for your buck.  EcoBoost technology, a v8 with .3 of a liter more, satellite navigation.  All that for a mere 35 thousand dollars more.  But in balloons and tires, it's just inflation.

Several variations of the Mustang have been pumped out of the factory lines.  Some of the favorites are the Boss 302, the Mach 1, the Fastback and the big dog Shelby GT500.  Set aside a few mistakes... like say the fox body or the '74 Mustang II and you have a fabulous line of history.

Several several years ago the Ford Motor Company decided to try a 4 cylinder in their Mustangs.  This proved to be a mistake and back came the v6's and v8's.  Now for the brand new 2015 model, the 2.4L EcoBoost engine is back in action.  They used the same engine from the Ford Focus ST model for a Mustang.. I know.  Other trim options are available as well including the 305 horsepower v6 and the big screamer called the coyote, the 5.0 V8.  In New York City they celebrated the Mustangs birthday by putting a bunch of car parts on an elevator on the Empire State Building and taking it all the way to the top, assembling it and left it sit.
